Initial integration with AI provider Jemez Technology marks dramatic new achievement in reduction of false and nuisance alarms for central stations and monitoring centers providing video-based monitoring services

Immix, the industry leader in physical security software automation, today announced its new AI Link, a new API that will allow AI technology to seamlessly integrate to its Immix® software suite to reduce the number of false or nuisance alarms that hit a central station operator queue.

The initial solution utilizes Jemez Technology’s best-in-class video analytics to take an attached alarm clip from any associated camera in Immix and essentially analyze or filter that video to determine if there is a person or vehicle present that could be deemed a security threat.  If the system detects such a threat, only then will it “verify” the alarm and present that alarm to a central station operator for processing.  The solution can be tailored to the needs of alarm monitoring providers, allowing them to select which sites and cameras to connect to the system for service, as well as allow them to set a “threshold of confidence” for each scenario, based on a percentage, which will then determine what alarms, in fact, actually get presented to an operator or agent.

This solution will enable Immix customers to dramatically reduce their alarm counts by an order of magnitude and, thus, better utilize their personnel and achieve new efficiencies, both operational and economical, to expand their service offering and increase recurring revenue

streams. It is tightly integrated into the Immix central station monitoring software to streamline the alarm handling flow without losing any video data, as all “unverified” events are still logged and available for review.

“Immix has been seeking a way to profoundly affect the alarm monitoring industry in a very meaningful way. Through this integration with Jemez Technology, and with the addition of this capability within the Immix software, we have done exactly that,” said Chris Brown, vice president, Immix. “We are especially proud and confident that this will be an absolute game-changer for the video monitoring industry.  False and nuisance alarms are by far the biggest challenge monitoring providers face and this solution adds that extra layer of intelligence within our platform that can meet that challenge head on and beat it. Immix and Jemez are dedicated to continued advancement of this solution as technology allows throughout 2020 and beyond.”

“This system is the result of a significant technical collaboration between Jemez Technology and Immix, resulting in a complete end-to-end, fully-integrated and scalable AI-based event verification solution for the Immix automation software platform. It is designed for ease-of-implementation and use, and to effectively complement existing central stations with powerful AI-based event verification and prioritization capability – without the need to re-train operators or change operational procedures,” said Joe Vitalone, chief sales and marketing officer, Jemez Technology.

The solution is available to all Immix customers running the latest HTML5-enabled interface and hosting their Immix instance on Microsoft server 2012 or later.
